Los aceites y otros contaminantes quedan atrapados en zonas estrechas y se liberan a trav\u00e9s del calor durante la fase de expulsi\u00f3n de gases o la fase de curado. Un desengrase inadecuado comprometer\u00e1 la adherencia en esas zonas y provocar\u00e1 la delaminaci\u00f3n del revestimiento. Para una adherencia \u00f3ptima, es imprescindible que el sustrato est\u00e9 libre de contaminantes, como aceites, polvo, grasa y otros. El desengrasado tambi\u00e9n ayuda a conservar el material de chorreado eliminando la grasa y los aceites de las piezas antes del chorreado.
